We've lived in this house for nearly 16 years and have never seen a turkey in our yard. But yesterday, Meg saw a hen and three of her adolescent chicks wandering around our back yard! We've decided that with Tom gone, birds and other small wildlife feel much safer entering our bit of earth. At any rate, it was fun to see them.
